Software Developer

Job description (Full Time Position):

We are hiring a software developer for the needs of the several EU-Funded Projects that ADITESS participates. Advance knowledge of Web/Mobile Applications programming will be considered as an advantage.

Essential qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP, JQuery Mobile, ASP.NET, JavaScript
  • Extensive Knowledge programming concepts, tools and languages for both procedural and OO languages
  • Database experience with MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL
  • Proficiency level in the English language
  • Good presentation, communication and scientific writing skills

Desirable qualifications:

  • Postgraduate studies (Master, or PhD) in a relevant discipline
  • At least 1 year relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of UNIX based systems
  • Proven experience in EU or National funded research programs
  • Sound Practical Experience with:
    -embedding third party commercial software components;
    – relational databases management systems;
    – non-procedural database query languages (SQL,RDBMS);
    – the use of tools for project management;
    – the use of Configuration Control tools, UML based requirements engineering;
  • Proficiency in the use of programming languages (e.g C/C++, Java,Python)

Software Engineer

Job description (Full Time Position):

Under the supervision of the Research Section and the relevant Project Managers, the Software Engineer will support and assist the work of EU-funded research projects in the field of Security, focusing on the development of software modules and applications.

Essential qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree BSc or Bengin the fileds of Computer Engineering, Communications, Computer Science or other relevant area
  • Detailed knowledge of software engineering processes and architectural software design
  • Extensive Knowledge programming concepts, tools and languages for both procedural and OO languages
  • Good knowledge on the development of Web applications and websites
  • Proficiency level in the English language
  • Good presentation, communication and scientific writing skills
